Hypersensitivity

Tooth sensitivity occurs when the tooth enamel is damaged or worn away, exposing the dentine tubules to stimuli such as hot/cold food or drinks, or very sweet foods. This stimulus triggers the nerves in the centre of the tooth, causing a short, sharp pain.

Sensitivity can be relieved by using a toothpaste specially formulated for sensitive teeth. To help prevent sensitivity returning use Macleans Sensitive everyday.

Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, see your dentist.
